• Guilford Courthouse National Military Park: Guilford Courthouse National Military Park, established in 1917, holds the distinction of being the first Revolutionary War site preserved by the federal government. The park protects 250 acres of the original 1,000-acre battlefield where a pivotal battle of the Revolutionary War's Southern Campaign took place on March 15, 1781. • Blandwood Museum: Blandwood Museum, located at 447 West Washington Street in Greensboro, is a National Historic Landmark that offers visitors a unique glimpse into mid-19th century American life. Originally built as a four-room farmhouse in 1795, it was later transformed into an Italian Villa Style mansion by two-term North Carolina governor John Motley Morehead. The mansion is believed to be the oldest existing example of Italian Villa Style architecture in the United States, a distinction that led to its National Historic Landmark designation in 1988.
